To the Best Mom in the World: Happy Birthday!
You’ve always been there for me. We’ve had a lot of fights, discussions, and honest talks through the years. I’ve hated you for being strict, for doubting my intentions, for being suspicious, and sometimes, being downright paranoid. You may get in my nerves sometimes, but I love you.
You always know, and when you know, you know best. I admit I never tell you everything, but I know that you know that I don’t tell you everything. Somehow, your intuitions manage to turn out mostly true. I don’t know why or how you just know, but I love you.
You gave up everything for us, and still continue to do so. You were never able to pursue your own dreams, your own goals, your own ambitions. You gave up a a lot so you can stay home and take care of us the moment we were born, educate us in the ways of life, and help us go through the toughest times. I feel the slightest bit of guilt for not being the best daughter I could be, but I know you’ve never regretted anything about me and my siblings. I’m sorry mom, and I love you.
Thank you for everything, mom. Thank you for nagging, lecturing, prodding, pushing, reminding, teaching, caring (for), and inspiring us. For me, you are the best mom in the world. I love you so much, mom.
Happy birthday.
