Chic and Happy
I have a new blog! I think I’ll be happier there for two reasons: one, it’s my own domain (finally!), and two, my domain has the words chic and happy together! Hop on over to http://chicandhappy.com to check my updates.
And oh, follow me there if you have Tumblr.
It’s 2010: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It’s that time of the year again when we get to say goodbye to the year that was. 2009 was awesome, and I can’t believe it has already gone and gave way to 2010. It’s that time of the year when nostalgia sets in, but hopes go up. However way we say goodbye to 2009, we should not forget all that the memories it has given us.
And enough of the mushy stuff. It’s 2010 (we’re already 10 years to the millennium!), another decade past, and it’s time to be HAPPY!
May we all be blessed with love and kindness, peace and prosperity this year.
And oh, the Happy Dog loves you all.
Happy Holidays!
This holiday season, let us not forget to share our blessings with those who have less.
See you all in 2010.
And oh, Spider-dog loves you all. <3
My Happyness List
Happyness doesn’t have to be complicated.
Sometimes we get too caught up with obsessing over the grander things that we forget that the fleeting moments, the simpler things, are what we really should be happy of.
And sometimes we get wrapped up in blissful moments—which is exactly what we need to survive in this crazy world. With that in mind, I created a list of the simplest things that make me happy.
Watching my baby Chiquito sleep.
Staring at the warm blue ocean.
Indulging in a huge tub of frozen yogurt.
Dancing (and listening) to awesome music.
What’s in your happyness list? ![]()
My Happy Halloween Long Weekend
Last Thursday, Red and I missed our Coron, Palawan trip for the long weekend due to a good friend’s emergency. I was ready to cry over spilled milk (in this case, wasted tickets and the chance to relax and get tanned), but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. By not going to Coron, we were able to attend a main office event the following day—our company’s Town Hell, town hall and Halloween party in one. It was my first big event at our company and I sure had one hell of a fun (pun intended). My team dressed up as horror psychiatric ward patients and doctors (we won first place!), while my boyfriend’s team came dressed as Japanese school boys and girls in PE uniforms.

Later that night, strong winds were blowing and rain was falling, but it didn’t stop us from attending Bigfish’s CREAM Halloween Ball, featuring DJs Agnelli and Nelson. We had super fun seeing people dressed up in all kinds of weird, ugly, hot, tacky, brilliant, and cool costumes, and dancing til our feet literally can’t take it any longer. We went home early, around 1.30 AM, just when the rain was getting even stronger. Too bad we didn’t get to hear Agnelli and Nelson play. It was still an awesome night though, and I can’t wait to attend next year.
On Saturday, we rested, spent time for ourselves, and tinkered with my new HP Mini. We had home-cooked dinner with his family, and then we left to visit my family and have our traditional pizza night with them. Despite the typhoon scare, the day went well and the way all rest days should be: quiet and lazy. Come Sunday evening, after a whole afternoon of eating, lazing around, poring over my new Mini, bonding with my family, and sleeping, my boyfriend and I took our baby Chiquito for a stroll at Serendra and Boni High Street. We haven’t spent quality time with him for a long time, and I’m glad we did. He surely had fun.
Ahh, the happy life. My Halloween was awesome, and I hope yours was, too.
